As a landscape photographer I am very drawn to nature and preserving it. One of the ways we can do this is through the use of renewable energy. I decided to explore wind energy as wind turbines are something I do find quite aesthetically attractive and some of the landscapes they are in suit them very well. By marrying the landscape and renewable energy together I am working on two things I am very passionate about.
A collection of landscapes and architecture from around the world.
In this project I explore the relationship between an urban environment mainly architecture and that of the individual in the space. I have chosen to photograph spaces that are always busy with only one person in the photograph to illustrate how hard it is to be alone or unique in city such as Toronto. It is very rare to find yourself alone in these spaces, you have to work very hard staying up late, getting up early, being very patient or just getting lucky. These points also relate to becoming successful in a city with so many other people doing the exact same thing you are.
These photographs are abstract representations of skyscrapers in the financial district of downtown Toronto. The Stained glass like photographs are really photographs of the facades of the skyscrapers and then turned into a kaleidoscopic image. These photographs give a religious sense to the financial district and the modern era of capitalism.
